How it works

From first conversation to clean energy — here's exactly what happens.

No jargon, no surprises, no pressure. Just a straightforward process designed around you — from the first phone call to the day your system switches on. Most customers are generating their own power within 4–6 weeks.

Not your average solar install

Every system we design is built around your home. Not a template. Not a package. Yours.

Most solar companies offer three packages — small, medium, large — and fit your home into whichever box is closest. Tiito doesn’t work that way. Every system we install starts from scratch, designed specifically around your roof, your household’s energy usage, and your goals. That means you get a system that’s properly sized, correctly positioned, and genuinely optimised for your life — not just the nearest standard option.

Why this matters to you

An undersized system leaves money on the table. An oversized one costs more than it needs to. A system designed for someone else’s roof may never perform the way it should on yours. Getting the design right from the start is the single biggest factor in how much you actually save.

The Process

Six steps from first call to first kilowatt.

Here’s everything that happens between your first conversation with us and the day your system switches on — with nothing left out.
Step 01

The Discovery Call — we listen first

Everything starts with a phone call. We’ll ask about your home, your household’s energy usage, your goals, and any questions you have. We want to understand how you live — when you’re home, what appliances you run, whether you have an EV or are planning one — because all of that shapes the system we’ll design for you. There’s no sales pitch on this call. Just a genuine conversation to make sure we understand what you need.
Step 02

Your Bespoke System Design & Detailed Quote

Based on what we’ve learned about your home and lifestyle, our SAA-accredited designers create a system built specifically for you. Not a package pulled from a menu — a proper design that accounts for your roof orientation, your shading, your usage patterns, and your budget. You’ll receive a detailed quote with full transparency on what’s included, what it costs, and what you can realistically expect to save.
Step 03

Site Visit — confirming the details

In most cases we’ll arrange a site visit to confirm the design against your actual roof and property. This lets us verify our assumptions and ensure everything will go smoothly on installation day — so there are no surprises for you. Once the site visit is complete we’ll finalise the design and present it for your approval before anything is booked.
Step 04

Approvals & Grid Connection — we handle everything

Before installation can begin, your system needs to be approved by your local network provider (DNSP). This is a technical and administrative process that we manage entirely on your behalf — submitting the application, liaising with the provider, and keeping things moving so there are no delays. You don’t need to do a thing.
Step 05

Professional Installation

Our certified installers handle everything from setup to sign-off, safely and to the highest Australian standards. Most installations are completed in a single day. We’ll walk you through how your system works, how to monitor it from your phone, and what to expect in the first few weeks. We don’t leave until you’re comfortable and your system is running perfectly.
Step 06

Government Rebates — sorted before you even think about it

We manage the entire government rebate process on your behalf. The rebate value is already factored into the price you’ve approved — so there’s no chasing paperwork after the fact, no waiting to be reimbursed, and no administrative headache. You benefit from the full value of available NSW and Victorian government incentives without lifting a finger.

On installation day

Clean, professional, and done in a day.

Our installation team arrives on time, works cleanly, and treats your home with respect. Most residential systems are fully installed and commissioned within a single day. There’s no mess left behind, no damage to your roof or property, and no lingering tradespeople. By the time we leave, your system is live, your app is set up, and you’re already generating power.

Minimal disruption

Most residential installations are completed in a single day. In some cases — such as where a switchboard upgrade is required — there may be a brief period without power, but we’ll always let you know in advance exactly what to expect. We plan around your household and keep any disruption as short as possible.

Your home, respected

We treat your property with care throughout the entire installation. When we leave, everything is clean, tidy, and exactly as we found it — your roof included. No mess, no damage, no half-finished work left behind.

You're not left to figure it out

Before we leave, we walk you through your system — how to read your monitoring app, what the numbers mean, and what to do if you ever have a question. We’re a phone call away long after install day.
The relationship doesn't end at install

We're still here. Long after the job is done.

Most solar companies are hard to reach the moment the install is complete. Tiito is different. We’re Australian-owned and locally based in Sydney and Melbourne — when you call us six months after your system goes in, you reach a real person who knows your system and can help. Your manufacturer warranties are in place, your rebates have been managed, and your system is monitored. But beyond all of that — we’re just a call away.

Manufacturer warranties

All systems are installed with full manufacturer warranties in place — covering panels, inverters, and batteries. We help you understand exactly what you’re covered for and how to make a claim if you ever need to.

System monitoring

Your system can be monitored in real time from your phone. Track how much you’re generating, how much you’re using, and how much you’re exporting to the grid — all from the app.

Local support, always

No overseas call centres. No ticketing systems. Just a local team who knows your system and is available when you need them.
Common questions

Questions we hear all the time — answered honestly.

For the vast majority of Sydney and Melbourne homeowners, yes — significantly. The exact amount depends on your current energy usage, your roof orientation, and your system size. We’ll give you a realistic savings estimate as part of your free assessment — based on your actual situation, not an optimistic marketing figure.
Most roofs are suitable. North-facing roofs with minimal shading produce the best results, but east and west-facing roofs also perform well. We assess your roof as part of the design process and will tell you honestly if there’s anything that might limit your system’s performance
Most residential installations are completed in a single day. In some cases a switchboard upgrade may be required, which can mean a brief interruption to power — but we’ll always tell you upfront if this applies to your job and plan around it to minimise any inconvenience.
No. There are no ongoing contracts or lock-in agreements with Tiito. You own your system outright. The only ongoing relationship is the one you choose to have with us for support and servicing.
All systems come with full manufacturer warranties — typically 10–25 years depending on the component. On top of that, Tiito provides installation workmanship warranty and ongoing local support. If something goes wrong, call us — we’ll sort it out.
Very little. The rebate process requires you to sign a straightforward assignment form — this simply authorises us to process the rebate on your behalf. We handle everything else entirely. The rebate value is already reflected in the price you approve, so there’s no reimbursement to wait for and no paperwork to chase after the fact.
From your first call to your system switching on, most customers are up and running within 4–6 weeks. The timeline can vary depending on network provider approval times in your area, but we’ll keep you informed throughout and manage the process to keep things moving.
